Playset Makeover "in process"

It has been a really fun few days with Grandma and Gramps -- What talent we have in the family! Davis was excited to help the first day, but then he fell a little "under the weather" so he wasn't outside as much after that. Here are few glimpses of the playset "in process"One piece of equipment that we thought would be fun to add is a seesaw, so we found instructions online and Gramps had it constructed in just a couple of hours!

It takes a lot of wood to build things. Here is the wood before it was made into some of the things you see below!

A new ladder! Gramps made it easier to climb and much safer for little legs. We also have some handles we are going to add after we stain the wood.

The future rock climbing wall! All we need are the rocks which will be a later addition after we paint. And also, notice the wood slats at the top to keep kids safely in the "clubhouse."
Davis wasn't the only one having fun, here Isaac is enjoying Grandma during breakfast. I think this was after one cup of coffee for Grandma. :)

Playset Makeover "Before"

One of our favorite parts of our house is that we have a fabulous playset in the backyard! We were so excited to buy a house with such an awesome place for the boys to play. This weekend, Gramps and Grandma are here to visit for the playset makeover! Gramps is making the playset safer for our little ones. He is the most talented builder and we are so thankful that he is doing this for our boys! I'll post some more pics later tonight, but for now here is the "before" pic!

I've Got Personality!

Isaac's precious personality has been blossoming these days! Here are a few pics from this morning before Davis woke up. :)

Davis loves to wear his shirts or pants on his head and pretend he is a puppy. We think he makes just about the cutest puppy ever.

A Valentine's Day Message

Isaac is 7 months old today, and he has some things that he wants to say.

Mountain Biking Man

I got a new bike for my birthday, and took it out last Saturday with some co-workers. I felt legit when I got mud all over myself.

Yes, that IS mud.

Davis and his ABC's!

Davis has learned his ABC's and we are so proud. :) Though, after this performance at breakfast, we think he may become a song arranger or a drummer when he grows up.

Check Ups!

Yesterday, Davis and Isaac had their 2 year old and 6 month check ups! Unfortunately, Davis had not been feeling well. (He had been up all night the night before and was the most lethargic that I had ever seen him!) He spent all day on the couch. When we took them in to the doctor we found out that Davis had a pretty bad ear infection. Now he is on the road to recovery (as you can see from our fun pictures outside today!) Isaac weighed in at 21lbs 10oz and 27 inches long. He is a big boy and only about 5lbs lighter then his big brother. :) He checked out well with the doctor and was a little trouper with all of his shots!

Davis also did a great job at the doctor, but has enjoyed today much more since he has felt so much better. We had a beautiful day to play outside! Here he is doing one of his new favorite pastimes... climbing trees!

And his other favorite pastime is cooking. Here is his stove and his pan where he is cooking macky. (macaroni!) I love how he has really begun to play pretend!
