A New Look
What do you think of the new background? Ever since we started brookslanding.com, I thought that it would be cool to tie in some nautical/dock theme. The picture was taken while in Mt. Dora, Florida, during our 2nd Anniversary.
Let us know what you think! We'll turn on the comments so you can rant or rave!

The new look needs some adjustment. The picture looks like it stops about halfway through your masthead (about a 1/2" short). I am OK with it but there is no way you can be OK with it.
Hmm...I didn't even know I owned a masthead. Perhaps this is payback for being a little too critical of someone else's projects in the past. I think it was when a certain someone ASKED MY OPINION about a project that he was working on...
What!!! ......only 2 comments----except mine via e-mail!!!
Dan, I liked the coloration of the other background, this one seems too opague for me. Could just be that it is different. Give it a few days to grow on me.

The dark horizon is what was getting me. It was so dark that it made the text in front of it unreadable, so I wound up washing out the whole picture so that the text could be read easily.
So...after listening to everybody's opinions (some submitted via email), I decided to eliminate the horizon altogether, and put the picture closer to its original hue.
Again, comments on the new new look is appreciated!
Well, I think this is an improvement, but still a little difficult for those with "visual impairment" ......age related, of course!!!
Love, Mommy/Momma G
I have to agree with Mommy/Momma G, but I do like it! Mildred
I agree -- it's a little dark now, and the solid line across the bottom is somewhat distracting. I'd prefer your first option as it is more readable -- some site visitors might miss the subtle picture, but would still get content. --G
Hmm...I really need to take a look at this with a normal monitor. Everything looks fine on my laptop, so I think that my screen might be distorting the colors a bit.
I'm still a little unsure as to how to rectify this, but I hope to get something changed soon. Problem is, spare time is hard to come by! I might have to wait until this weekend--and postpone finishing up our taxes! :(
Also, Glenn, could you send me a screenshot of what the website looks like on your computer? I'm not seeing the solid line across the bottom like you are mentioning. Just email it to me, if you could!
Thanks for the comments everybody--keep 'em coming!
