Tremor?

Friday at 10:30pm

Dan: "Are you shaking the bed?"

Ellen: "No."

Dan: "Well, it's not me."

Ellen: "Don't scare me like that, Dan..."

Dan: "No, I'm serious, I think it's a small earthquake!"

A very small earthquake, in fact. Not knowing what else to do, we stood in the doorway (that's what they always do in the movies), waited a few minutes, and called up some other people in our complex, and they said they didn't even feel it. But they suggested we check the news in the morning and see if it really was one. Sure enough, there was a minor one pretty far away. Here's the story.

I've been through plenty of hurricanes and a few close tornadoes, but this would have to be the first time I've felt an earthquake. At least the ground stays put when a hurricane passes over.
