Dan Eats Balut
For the uninitiated, balut is a delicacy in the Philippines that is created from a duck egg. A fertilized duck egg. A duck egg that was cooked while a partially grown duck was still inside. There's no yolk or egg white to deal with here.
Over the past 2.5 years, everyone has been telling me that I haven't truly been to the Philippines until I've eaten my first balut. I finally had my chance to eat it tonight.
For those of you with weak stomachs, you might want to skip the video. (Did I mention that balut was featured on Fear Factor?)

Yeah- I tried to watch the video and didn't make it through. Way to finally fit in and be a true Filipino....I'm noticing the blog doesn't say Ellen participated :) That's one thing I'm ok with saying I didn't do!
Ellen had to participate in her own way...she had to film the whole thing.
That was a riot! Al and I got a kick out of it. I'm on Ellen's team. I'll gladly film while Allan eats one. Some one has to document us fitting in to the culture.
WAY TO GO, Dan!!!
Welcome to the club! :D
Dan I like that adventurousness... I want to go to our local Philipino restaurant now!
Unbelievable. I had to stop watching...
