Last weekend we ventured out on a 5 day road trip to Pensacola, FL; Valdosta, GA and Lake City, FL to attend a close friends wedding reception and also to introduce Isaac to a lot of family!

Davis and Isaac did really well traveling and spending about 20 hours in the car over the 5 day period. Yes, we had our moments of crying and/or whining, but thankfully they were only moments! This is the view we had of Davis for much of the time. We are thankful our little boy LOVES to read. We checked out a bunch of library books, and books on tape to listen to on the road, and are so glad that we did!

First stop was Pensacola, where Isaac met the Brooks side of our family. Rob and Melody hosted a brunch Saturday morning and we were so thankful for everyone to come out for a visit. We loved seeing all of you!!!

Dan and Tommy have been friends for a long time... since elementary school, right? Dan will have to correct me if I'm wrong on this one!! His wife Melody is from North Dakota so they were married up there December 27th. Instead of all of the Pensacola folks traveling up that way, they had a separate reception this past weekend. We loved meeting Melody and seeing lots of friends!

This is where Davis spent a bit of the reception. He pressed his lips up against the plastic of the podium on the stage in the sanctuary, which doubles as a reception hall. Wish we had some windex before it was time for the pastor to preach the next morning!! There were several other kids to play with so Davis had a blast. We also were introduced to just how uninhibited our little one is. He is not shy. Hmmm.

Next stop was to Valdosta and Lake City. Unfortunatly, I did not end up with any pictures from visiting with Aunt Audrey and meeting our newest cousin, little Brooklyn who is 9 months old. Here we are with Grandma Davis, Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Grady.

Isaac loved all of his time on his Great Grandma's lap. They played and played for much of the day that we were there.

One of Davis's highlights was riding Uncle Grady's tractor.
Thanks everybody for having us! We loved getting to see you and wish we could more often!
