Happy 1 month birthday!

Davis and his new friend! As you can see, Mommy had more fun with the toy then Davis is having yet!

It was really sad to say goodbye to Grandma, but we made some wonderful memories and had a really special time! Here are Grandma and Davis the day before she left.

Today our wonderful Davis is 1 month old! At the dr on Monday he weighed in at over 10 pounds! (he was 6 1/2 when he was born!) We are thrilled and proud to show you some recent pictures!

Plaque for Dad at Beulah Church

There have been a couple of big events that happened right before Davis was born that we'd like to share. This fall, the congregation at Beulah Baptist Church, where my Dad was associate pastor, recently put up a plaque in his memory. It reads:

Joe Brooks
He was loved by all that had the privilege of
knowing him. His love for Jesus was evident
in his work of missions and healing ministry.
He was always there to listen and gave coveted
counsel. He will be greatly missed.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous
man availeth much.
James 5:16

Davis is 2 weeks old!

It has been so much fun to have Mom and Annie here. We had to say goodbye to Annie yesterday, which was very sad, but we are thrilled to have Mom here for a couple more weeks. Here are a few pictures so far!

Mama G/Mommy/Grandma/Linda!

Sorry it has taken us so long--but we are still having trouble accessing Blogger here in Manila!  I'm actually emailing this post to Blogger, which is why we can't do any pictures.  I hope to figure out a workaround soon.

The big news, though, is that Ellen's mother arrived a few days ago, and is getting settled in nicely.  She, Ellen, and Anne took Davis to his first medical check-up since the birth, and he came through fine.  He has even gained a pound!  At this rate, he'll weigh 1,043 pounds by the time he is 20 years old.  I'm a little concerned about our food budget.

Mama G/Mommy/Grandma/Linda (an avid Brookslanding reader and commenter) will be sticking around for a couple of weeks, and will be helping us with Davis, which we are grateful for!  She has already signed up to be his burper and his partner in his early morning "sunshine" walks.
