Merry Christmas!

We spent this Christmas at my parents house with my side of the family. Here are a few of the activities that we did! Not included in the pictures are the hours of Guitar Hero played, the Scrabble and Apples to Apples games, and the target practice that the boys had a great time doing in the woods!
All 7 of us + 3 dogs went on a family walk on Christmas Eve to a nearby neighborhood that has a really nice playground. Davis had some great first experiences there!
This looks scarier then it was! Mommy was waiting right at the bottom to catch Davis and he loved his first slide ride. (Scruffy, unfortunately didn't like his!)

Davis's first swing in the park!
Our family attends a Christmas Eve service at a chapel near my parents house. It is a special time of focusing through music on the gift of Christ's birth.
Mom, Dad and David at the service!

Davis's first time to open Christmas presents. He definately was most interested in the wrapping paper and boxes.

My sweet hubby gave me a labor of love for Christmas! He found a used jogging stroller and spent hours fixing it up so that Davis and I can go out for very comfy rides in the neighborhood. Thank you so much for such a thoughtful gift!

Having fun and Meeting Santa!

I've been having lots of fun staying at my Grandma and Gramps's house! Friday I went to meet Santa for the first time! I was a little bit scared, but Mommy and Grandma stayed close by so I was ok.

In a couple of years Grandma is going to teach me to ice skate like these big kids, but for now I am just being carried.

Everyday after Gramps and Daddy get home from work they play with me and I love it! I love to be on Gramps's shoulders!!

And... we love to play games with stuff we find in the kitchen. I love plastic plates, coasters, rubber bands (Gramps watches me closely!!) and loud pans!!

Daddy reads to me lots. Here I am trying to show you one of my books!

Happy 1st Birthday Davis!! (observed)

Since Davis's birthday is December 24th, we decided to celebrate a couple weeks earlier so that we could have lots of family all together. I have so many pictures I want to share....

Davis has been sick on and off since we've been back. This is his second ear infection this month so he started his day with 103 fever and taking his medicines. Though he wasn't feeling well, he had a happy attitude throughout the day. You'll notice his smiles look a little bit tired though!

After breakfast, he spent quite a bit of time snuggling with Uncle David on the couch.

While Davis was relaxing, Dan and the rest of the guys made it there mission to build a campfire in the lake so that we could roast smores later that night. My dad was excited since this cleaned a lot of the dead trees out of the woods!

Scruffy didn't do a good job lifting the logs, as usual he found a place to rest and see the action.

After Davis's nap we changed him into his outfit made by his Aunt Anne! She took a smocking class this fall and surprised us by making Davis an adorable outfit! He looked more then cute!

Davis and Uncle Will hung out a lot. Davis just loved getting to visit with his relatives that he hadn't seen in a long time.

The proud grandma and gramps.

We took tons of pictures... Here is our cutie!!!

Here Davis is preparing to eat his cake.

Not to sure about his cake... I made a no sugar applesauce cake with coolwhip on it. Thankfully, I tasted it before i served it to everyone else. Davis loves it, but I don't think the rest of us would have! SO, I made a sugar filled cake for the rest of us to enjoy, and Davis has tons of squares frozen to eat for the next few weeks!

Davis enjoyed opening his gifts, he loves to read!

Happy Birthday Davis!!! Thank you everyone for coming. :)

This weeks adventures!

We've had so much fun being in Charlotte. Here are a few more pics!Davis had a blast when we had breakfast with our friends, the Stewarts. Their daughter had 5 friends over to spend the night and the girls LOVED Davis. (I think he was very happy also!!)
The Stewarts!

Davis and Lily loved playing together again. It has been so much fun for me to see Davis interact with so many kids!

We have been staying with one of my closest friends, Ginny and her husband Andy. We have enjoyed so much being in their home and having time to catch up. They are expecting their first little one February 1st! Here we are at her baby shower.

Davis and his buddy Carson. I can't wait for him to be able to help me in the kitchen!

Davis and Tristan!
I have gotten to reconnect with Back Creek Christian Academy, which is the school I taught kindergarten at for 2 years. Last night we had dinner with our friends, whose son Joshua was in my kindergarten class, but is now in 4th grade! (Time has flown!!)
