One of my very best friends had a baby girl yesterday. Natalie Elizabeth was born to Amanda and Dave last night and entered into the world at 7lb 6oz and 21inches long!
Really, Mandy, is more a sister to me then a friend so I am a very proud Aunt.

Natalie Elizabeth: just a few hours old. SO precious and beautiful.

Proud parents, Mandy and Dave! This pic was from last May at Anne and Cory's rehearsal dinner.
As Mandy and Dave have recieved this blessing last night, so many memories have flooded me as I think of what has happened in our lives in the last 24 years. Mandy and I met riding the bus on the 1st day of 1st grade and instantly became close friends. Our families also connected with our brothers being the same age (about 2 at the time!) and our parents totally connecting. (Aunt Francie was instrumental in leading my Mom to become a Christian that year.)
While we've only lived in the same town for 4 years and we may not see each other now more then once a year, God has blessed us with a close friendship that is definately family. As I've gone through some pictures today, I wanted to share a couple.

Mandy and I 2nd grade. We always wanted matching outfits and if we were both in the same town we were inseperable.

Mandy and I... probably about 3rd grade. Mom and Dad flew me to visit Mandy's grandparents in Ohio when Mandy and her family were home from Venezuela.

6th or 7th grade. Canal Days in Pittsford, NY. I think soon after that picture I traded in that purse for one to match Mandy's. (I always wanted to be just like her...)

The Grinnell/Kurz clan in 1991. (I think). That morning Andrew and David handcuffed themselves together and the keys had to be searched for in the yard. Just 3 weeks ago Andrew and his wife, Ellie also had their 1st child, baby Eli! (time has flown by!!!)

A few years later... here we are at Camp Grinnell. :) I hope to have one of all us kids with our new families soon!
