Happy 7th Anniversary!

This post is much overdue! For our 7th anniversary Dan and I headed to Breckenridge, CO to go skiing! We hadn't been since Dan visited me in Korea before we were married, and before that it was high school for both of us. We both did well, no broken bones to report!
Other then skiing, my favorite part was going out to eat. Some wonderful friends of ours gave us great restaurant recommendations so we were set!
Another highlight was night skiing. It was awesome! Do you recognize this guy?

We love taking a trip every year for our anniversary. Thanks so much to Grandma and Gramps for watching the munchkins so we could get away! When I went to pick up Davis and Isaac, Davis had already asked if he could stay 5 more sleeps at their house. He wasn't ready to leave!

Feeling Glad

Here was one precious, funny moment with Davis as I was putting him to bed last night.

Mommy: "Davis, what is one thing that you are glad God has given you?"

Davis: "My head"

Mommy: "Why?"

Davis: "I don't know"

Mommy: "Well, I'm glad God gave me my head so that I can have eyes to see and a nose to smell and a mouth to taste things."

Davis (emphatically): "And a mouth to TALK, thats why I'm glad I have a head"

Mommy (laughing): "You sure love to talk don't you?"

Davis: "Yes!!!"

And he SO SO does. Sometimes too much for his own good, but he is following in his Mommy's footsteps. I was nicknamed motor mouth by my first grade teacher and my mom says that common words out of her mouth when I was a child were "if you'd only keep your mouth shut, Ellen, you wouldn't get in trouble!" Oh Davis, this talking will probably be a blessing sometimes and sometimes, not so much!

Brothers at 3 and 18months

I haven't taken any pictures in the last few days, so here are a few before we took our Christmas decorations down. We've been having a few "snow days" these last couple of days. The weather predicted snow, schools closed and the snow came! Less then an inch, but it came! Enough to build a little snowman and get pulled around in a sled. Hmmm... those would have been good things to take pictures of!

Happy New Year!
